August 23, 2018 - Trimming the Cockpit
Today was the penultimate "official" day in the shop but the last one for me. Next week, Mike comes in from Lake Havasu City to load the Flyer for a trip to its new destination. The shop is closing in Littleton as Jeff and Kathy head off for their "retirement" property in North Carolina at the end of the month.
It is a particularly sad day for me because I have been logging the building of the Crandall Flyer for you every week for the past two years and will not get to do so for the last session in Littleton next week or its completion in Havasu. However, I understand that we may all get to visit the Flyer for its launch in Lake Havasu. That date is yet to be determined.
I will be signing off until further notice at the end of today's presentation. I hope you have enjoyed looking at the photos and videos as much as I have enjoyed preparing and showing them. A special thanks goes out to Jim Curtis who has filled in with photography when I have been absent.
