July 26, 2018 - Many Things
The Flyer started its day right side up. Tape had been placed along its sides to create a straight finish line for painting. While the boat was in this position, the seat back was removed for creation of a fuel supply access port, the dash was fitted to the divider between the cockpit and engine compartment, and holes were drilled in the instrument panel for placement of the gauges. The engine was then hoisted from the Flyer, the hull was flipped belly up, and any imperfections in the bottom of the hull were filled with epoxy following spot sanding. (see the slideshow and short video that follow)
The next step will be fairing the hull bottom in preparation for final coats of paint, a very nice dark red to cover the white prime coat.
