June 14, 2018 - Adding to the Final layer

The last few weeks have involved an intense effort to complete the final layer of strips before Mike arrives at the end of June with the engine ready to install. The effort was complicated by time commitments preventing full work crews during this period. We have added a second formal day per week to help get back on track. The Flyer will be ready!

We progressed on laying eight strips fore and aft beginning at the midline and also worked on the dash shape and gauge placement. A mold form is well under way for the cold-molded seat back. See the slideshow for a timeline.
