UPRIGHTING THE FLYER
Thursday, October 5 was a day marked by two milestones: the celebration of the twelve month anniversary of the Flyer's construction (https://www.weebly.com/editor/main.php) and the first significant uprighting of the hull. On this day we removed remaining staple fragments from the inside surfaces, located wood splinters introduced by the stapling, thoroughly sanded the frames and hull, and filled any gaps between the frames and hull with epoxy. Next, any blemishes caused by stapling will be filled as well. Sealing will follow.
The following video will give you an idea of what we wanted to achieve at this point. Note the sound level as we get started. Ear protection probably would have been a good idea!
